  1. Bad idea. By doing that we would further the idea that anyone could take pictures. The suits would enjoy playing with their new “toys” and we would be stuck fixing their mess.

    (It would be cool to have all their cash, though.)

  2. As someone who spent nearly a decade earning a living off handling business details for artists I have to say this would not work. By very nature, most artists’ brains function in a much different manner than ‘non-creative’ people. Anyone with a background in psych or related fields can back me up on this.

    It’s the whole left brain/right brain thing. Sure, anyone can write a check and anyone can paint a picture… that doesn’t mean they do it well, or efficiently… I actually find this offensive to artists- to believe that anyone on Wall Street could just suddenly replace Annie Leibovitz is insane. Maybe with time and adaptation but they would no longer have fresh skills for the other side of their brain.

    To say, “I could do any of their jobs” is, in exchange, saying “any of them could do my job” which is just not true.
