I got this quote today at the end of an advertising news compilation email I get every day (the Brief from pileandcompany.com). I think it’s perfect for all of us in this crazy industry:
I honestly think it is better to be a failure at something you love than to be a success at something you hate.
-George Burns
Ben Franklin said, “Do not fear mistakes. You will know failure. Continue to reach out.”
Failure and the fear of failure can be good. They build character and make your product stronger — more competitive — as long as you realize where you are, were and are going.
Just make sure that after a failure, you don’t give up and crawl away. Get up, get moving, figure what went wrong and how to fix it.
I love what I do — and I’m an amazing failure!
