What does this (the photographic dictionary) do to the old maxim of a picture being worth a thousand words? 😉
Seriously, though, I love creative thinking and projects like this. Anyone can do something like this now, so what is your excuse? Get your creative friends together and figure out some fun project to do! Make a party out of the show if you do it with mostly locals! Enjoy and celebrate being a creative!
(Doing creative play is particularly a good thing to do if work has been slow…)
Work is slow? Really? NO!
We’re creative people and business might be slow, but the work never is.
The cool thing about being slow is that I’ve gotten together with a couple of local photographers and, since we have time, we are creating a photojournalistic workshop for the citizen journalists of the world.
I’ve also taken a part-time teaching job. I teach digital photography to students in grades 8-12. Two days ago we had an assignment where I brought in a huge box of random things. I split the class into teams and randomly handed out the random things. I told the kids their job was to make something.
It was great. The kids made a guitar, a crocodile, a mask and a squirrel.
I’m always creatively working. Maybe someday I’ll go back to supporting my family. hahahaha!
