Life in CA–email version

This is a typical, if occasional, email now that we live in California:

We just had a little earthquake, did you feel it?

Christopher Dell’Acqua

Luckily for me, I missed this one. It was a little 3.6, off the coast a bit. Seems the downtown area got the most of it and with Christopher being 8 stories up, he felt it. The house is further north and inland, so I’m not surprised that I missed it. Happy? Yes.
The weird part is that just two nights ago I had a dream I was in a pretty significant quake. Hopefully that wasn’t me being psychic again.

But we do have more than a few of these kinds of emails now, even when they aren’t actually seismic events. For example, a few weeks ago I was sitting here at my desk, working, when there was an odd noise and then the window rattled hard. Even the cats got utterly freaked. I emailed Christopher “Did you feel that?” and he thought I was nuts. Turns out that no one will explain the events (it has happened since too)–every branch of the military denies causing the noise.

Odd.
