Today I spent about an hour at the beach. Of course, the water is too cold to swim (in the upper 50s), but it was nice to sit there on the sand and listen to the surf. Watching the surfers was nice too. They were in full bodysuits of course. There were even a few tourists with pasty skin who waded into the frigid water.

Crazy people.

I must say that most of the time I think the price to live out here isn’t worth it, but when you can comfortably sit in shorts (or less) at the beach in December, well, then it is.
